DPRCA's "Red and Gold" is a new twist on a Christmas classic

Originally penned in 1843, Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" has since become an immortal classic of the stage, screen and literary arenas. It tells the tale that has been warming (and wrenching) the hearts of its readers for over 160 years. Now it is back with a whole new flair.

This holiday season the Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts (DPRCA) presents "Red & God: A Christmas Carol," a new musical adaptation by DPRCA's Artistic Director Elliott Schwab.

Follow Ebenezer Scrooge in his hair-raising, sometimes funny, often sad, but always inspiring journey of self-discovery. With musical numbers both poignant and whimsical, this incandescent new production will make you want to rush right out and paint the world Red & Gold!

"Red & Gold: A Christmas Carol" will run Fridays through Sundays, Nov. 16 through Dec. 16, with no performances Thanksgiving weekend. Show times will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

This year, DPRCA is excited to offer special holiday ticket pricing. Tickets are $5 for kids 10 years old and under, $10 for students 11 years old and up, and $25 for adults. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.dprca.com or through the DPRCA box office at (701) 947-2174.
