Fun-filled weekend at Tolna Days July 13 -17

The residents of Tolna welcome visitors during Tolna Days, where you can “Escape the City- Bring your Dreams.”

On Friday, July 13, local EMTs will host a supper on Main Street at 5 p.m., followed by baseball at the ball diamond.

Saturday, July 14, be up early and take part in the 2 mile run at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., use clues to find the treasure at the Golden Walleye Hunt.

At noon, water inflatables and games kick off in the park, including the Human Foosball Tournament. Any team can enter, just call Melany at 230-0355.

Baseball games start at 2 p.m., including Babe Ruth, Pee-Wee and Amateur.

At 5 p.m., a supper of roast pork, mashed potatoes, corn, coleslaw, rolls and bars will be served at the Friends and Neighbors Café. Our version of “Wheel of Fortune” will be at the city hall at 7:30 p.m. The Main Street dance begins at 10 p.m.

On Sunday, July 15, registration for the car, truck, tractor and ATV show begins at 10:30 a.m. The auto show begins at 11 a.m. on Main Street. The parade begins at 1:30 p.m. A kid’s parade will also be held. Decorate a bike, wear a costume and join the parade. Floats, emergency vehicles and musicians are all welcome to take part in the parade. Meet at the ball diamond at 1 p.m.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Friends and Neighbors Café will serve a buffet of jumbo shrimp and meatballs, with salad bar and sundaes.

Special music at the city hall following the parade will conclude the festivities.
