Public input meeting on city water and sewer project set for Thursday

New Rockford city officials and their advisors at Interstate Engineering are preparing information about the proposed water and sewer infrastructure project to share at a public input meeting this Thursday.

Information about the proposed improvements, financing plan and impact on taxpayers will be presented at the meeting, which will be held Thursday, June 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the Brown Memorial Auditorium.

Anyone interested in learning about, discussing, and/or providing feedback on the city's proposed water system improvement project which includes water main replacement, water treatment plant improvements, and water tower maintenance.

An Open House will take place beginning at 5 p.m., and a short informational presentation will start at 5:20 p.m. Staff will be available immediately after the presentation until 7 p.m. to answer questions and receive comments from the public.

The City of New Rockford and Interstate Engineering, Inc. will continue to collect comments through June 17, 2018, and then will evaluate and address them as needed.
