On Monday, Oct. 10, afternoon service on the northwest bus route for the New Rockford-Sheyenne School District was suspended. That’s according to an Oct. 3 letter sent by NR-S Superintendent Jill Louters to parents/guardians of students along the route. On Thursday, Oct. 6, nearly 50 youth concluded the three-day New Rockford Dance Camp with a recital at the Brown Memorial The camp was organized by Amanda Hegland, Executive Director of New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation (NRABC) with a grant from Arts Midwest. At their regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 6, Eddy County Commissioners received an update on fire mitigation at the courthouse. During last month's meeting, Eddy County Emergency Manager, Lisa Thompson, revealed an alarming lack of fire safety measures within the building.
