    New Rockford-Sheyenne struggled offensively for three quarters as Langdon-Area-Edmore-Munich defeated the locals by a final score of 61-50 in first round action of the Region 4 Boys Basketball Tournament played at Devils Lake on Tuesday, March 6.     The New Rockford-Sheyenne Speech Team made the short trek to Carrington to compete in a speech meet on Saturday, March 3. This was a big meet, as there were 20 schools in attendance, both Class A and Class B. The locals impressed and came away with several awards.   • NR-S Music Department to present Talent Show

    The New Rockford-Sheyenne music department will be putting on its 2nd Annual Talent Show on Thursday, March 15. The show starts at 7 p.m with admission of $6 for adults and $4 for students. No charge for preschool and younger. New this year is a dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. hosted by the music students. A free will offering will be taken.     The New Rockford-Sheyenne High School Band traveled to Fargo on Wednesday, March 7 for the Raging Red Band Festival hosted by North Dakota State University. It was a big day for the locals, as the band came away with the award for best band of the day in Division III and was named best band of the festival in Division III.
