    New Rockford-Sheyenne Legion Post #30 started off District 4 play with a walk-off win, defeating the Jamestown Blues 8-7. The Sox jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on the strength of a single run in the first inning, and a two-run homer over the right field fence by Hunter Jacobson in the second. The Blues were able to come back in the third with four runs to take the lead 4-3.     New Rockford-Sheyenne Post #30 finished the regular season by dropping two in Rolla on July 16. The Sox lost the first game 1-0, and the second 3-0. The weeklong layoff was not good for the Sox bats, as Koby Duda was the only batter to get a hit. Rolla sent three pitchers to the mound, Andre Elick, Xavier Mitchell and Jacob Ripplinger, and they combined for a two-hit shutout.     Legion Post #30 finished up district play in New Rockford on July 7 with excitement, winning the game against Kidder County in a walk-off 4-3. With the win, NR-S clinched the #1 seed in the District 4 tournament, which starts on July 20 in Jamestown.     The NR-S Babe Ruth team traveled to Harvey on July 8 and lost on a Harvey walk-off 7-6. Both starting pitchers were on their games in the first three innings. Connor Knatterud started for the Black Sox and pitched three scoreless innings. Jaxon Feist pitched four scoreless innings, before allowing three runs in the fifth inning.     The Babe Ruth team had a good day on July 9 in New Rockford taking two games against Turtle Mountain. NR-S was able to win both games by the 10-run rule in five innings. Both games counted toward the district standings. Connor Knatterud got the start at pitcher in the first game, and pitched four scoreless innings.     Legion Post #30 played host to the Renville County Muskrats on July 9. The Muskrats built an early 6-0 lead against the Sox pitcher Koven Walford. Renville County was able to score four runs in the second inning on RBIs by Steele Olson, Mason McCrite and Walker Braaten. The Muskrats were able to add on two more in the fourth.     New Rockford Post #30 avenged their earlier loss to Carrington Post #25 on July 1. The Black Sox soundly defeated the Redbirds 12-2 in six innings.     In a hard fought game, Post #30 lost to Cando in nine innings 10-8 on June 30. This was just their second loss of the season.     On June 30, Cando traveled to New Rockford for a district two showdown. Cando dominated the game and defeated the Black Sox 12-2 in five innings.     Devils Lake came to New Rockford to play two five-inning games on July 1. The Sox were able to win both games. In game one, NR-S won the game 10-0 in three innings.
